The Ale House - 2425 West Alabama - Houston, Texas

Aiiieee!

Click here for audio of Charleton Heston using profanity.
Or here for John Belushi using profanity.
Or here if you'd like to see what the Ale House actually looked like.

(Quickly deploying lawsuit countermeasures: This web site has never been owned, operated, or even officially condoned by the owners of the Ale House. This is a fan site, owned and operated by me, Jim Porter, former Ale House regular patron and now a refugee. And please don't nobody stalk me.)

The Ale House is gone.

Its last day of operation was Sunday, June 3rd, 2001.

What, you didn't know? It was on all the local newscasts. Well, you're lucky I finally got my video capture software working. Now you can see Windows Media format video of the news stories from channel 39, channel 11, and channel 26. My humblest apologies to any other local television stations who may have covered the closing whose coverage I missed. I was probably drinking that night.

Memories, condolences and well-wishes can still be sent to stjnky@yahoo.com, although the mail goes to directly to ME, Jim Porter, former Ale House patron who has no idea when or if he will ever actually see any of the owners/management/staff again. I promise I will forward any communications eventually.

Newsflash! The owners have opened a new pub, called The Stag's Head, at 2128 Portsmouth. 713-521-2333.
