I had intended to stay for Last Call, but as 10 PM approached and passed, I suddenly realized I was in very real danger of crying. Not just getting misty-eyed, but rather, full-blubbering, nose-running, bawling like a two-year-old, making-a-spectacle-of-oneself Crying.
I've lost family members and friends, I've even cried when pets have died. But I've never been moved to tears over the closing of a
pub before. That's just weird.
Anyway, my heartfelt thanks go out to Michael, Shaun, Angela, and all Ale House employees past & present.
And thank you to the patrons who have visited the place over
the past 20 years and infused it with a little bit of your spirit.
