There's a web page (www.publicdata.com) where, for 10 bucks, you can access all sorts of nifty public information.

Today, I've looked up whether there are any sex offenders in my neighborhood. Also available:

* Any info that's on the front of your Texas Driver's License or State ID (you can look folks up by name or TDL) * Info on your doctor - whether he/she has been disciplined for any hanky-pankying in the line of doctoring (one of the docs I used to type for seems to have a habit of practicing medicine after dipping into his stash of meds in the cabinet) * Info on anyone in Texas' criminal history (look 'em up by name and/or date of birth) * Track down the info attached to any license plate number (especially good for stalkers - see a cute in the car next to you? Get their home address!)

This is both good (I can find out if a pedophile lives next door) and bad (see stalking reference).

Want mt to look something up for ya? I already paid the $10, so I'll do the looking, if y'all want.

For sex offender info, I need your zip code, and I can let you know if there's anyone in your 'hood, and if so, where.

Can you search by name? Any info you've got on Paul M. Glass would be greatly appreciated. He's the weasel who shitcanned a bunch of us last December and vanished without paying most of his employees.

maybe what we need to do is start up a chain letter saying something like, 'send one dollar to this address and you'll get a million dollars in 5 months!' sure to cause havok, but unfortunately you'll never be able to see the result.

ya know, with that much information you could probably pull a credit report, from that you should be able to determine what banks he uses and the account numbers... and from that it would be a simple excercise to write a few checks...... say enough to cover all of yall's back salaries....

That would be PERFECTLY legal, Ror. Cough. "Yes, Judge... but 2 wrongs DO make a right!"

Latest news from the GlobalTouch front: Seems one of my former colleagues received a copy of his social security report, which is supposed to be current through December 1997, and guess who's not on it? Yup, it appears that GlobalTouch hasn't paid/reported the money it was withholding from our paychecks.

I've ordered a copy of my own social security report to confirm this.

well, now you're talkin duh FEDS...... actually if you were more LEGAL minded you could find all the accounts with his name on them, hire a lawyer and arrange to have those accounts frozen until he pays up plus attorneys fees..... plus some hefty punitive damages.....

Uhhh, you know, I almost hate to point this out, but I DO know someone that works for the IRS here in Austin. If you guys can piece enough information together, like his name, the name of the company, when it was in operation, his location, and most importantly, his SS #, might could create a little bit of uncomfortablity for him.

Hey Sooz, you got any idea if I can get a service like that in the mighty TN?

Being a drivers ed teacher I (and my students) get harrassed a whole lot by rich bratty kids driving daddies Lexus and fliiping us off and running up on our ass in the middle of a lesson. I always take down the license plate number, but Metro and even the other counties we teach in can do NOTHING!

I was thinking that if I can use their license plate to get their phone number and maybe name, then I can call mom and dad and tell them what Jr's been doing in THEIR car, and maybe get rid of some of the ass hole drivers in this town.

Lemme know if you can..and if anyone else has any ideas, I am open!

I dunno, are you in Shelby County?

I got some hits searching for "Tennessee Public Records" at www.hotbot.com.

sorry for the delay, but no, try Metro/Davidson or Williamson...but thanks big time for looking...

Shelby County is Memphis and there is probably so muck crime there I couldn't wade through all the files on people.

But big ups on checking into that for me. You're a sweetie!
