Depends on the filter. Kidneys, it turns out, are pretty good at filtering that stuff out.
Hmm. I can just imagine the new earth-friendly trend: Disemboweled human kidney water filters. "...because you love the taste of fresh urine!"

Assuming (of course) that the kidneys in question are healthy and not infected with, oh I dunno, hepatitus.

I think the line that got me was "The filters on Campbell's washing machine, dishwasher and refrigerator ice-maker became clogged with a white stringy substance, which she later learned was used toilet paper."
