I have spent the better part of this evening browsing the web site of one Hero Joy Nightingale. Now as you may recall from featured links of years gone by, I've always gotten a charge out of accidentally stumbling across web sites designed by young'uns, kids, if you will, young whippersnappers, who display amazing talent with language and expression.
Well, HoJoy is pretty *fucking* amazing. In addition to her personal pages, she produces a quarterly online literary 'zine with occasional guest contributors like Kofi Annan and Stephen Hawking, as well as her own personal essays.
Ohyeah, and she turns 14 tomorrow.
And ohyeah, and she's confined to a wheelchair, has almost no control over her muscles, and can't speak.
