NEW YORK (Reuters) - Unisys Corp., Microsoft Corp. and Dell Computer Corp. are teaming up to create new voting technology in the wake of the ballot-counting fiasco in the U.S. presidential election, Unisys said on Thursday.
Blue Bell, Pa.-based Unisys said its system will replace outdated systems that produce irregularities such as those reported in Florida in the November election.
The system will integrate election processes from voter registration to counting results, Unisys said.

Why would something as this NOT surprise ANYONE?
Yeah, I want Microsoft and Unisys tabulating MY vote.
I'd rather risk it to a blind-deaf, 90 year old alcoholic, with frost bitten fingers counting voting ballots before I'd trust them!
Then again, I always had trust issues.
Hey, where Ralf been recently?

Doh!
Well the log shows he's been checkin' in. Maybe he's got carpal tunnel syndrome and is unable to type.

(In Rod Serling-esque monolog)
A post...not of sound but of mind.
Posted my a man claiming to be Ralf, but without a mention of his trademark sarcasm or pants.
Was it indeed Ralf? Or have you just crossed over into...

Reminds me... I seem to have lost a pair of pants this past weekend.
Yes, I *was* drinking Friday night, and maybe saturday night too. No, I don't think I drank to the point of a blackout... or at least if I did I sure don't remember it...
But nevertheless when I was doing laundry on Sunday, I discovered that I was missing a pair of pants. Now this is a relatively small apartment. There's not a whole lotta places to look. This was a relatively normal pair of Dockers... okay, they may have been faux Dockers... but they were Nice Pants(tm). And now they're just... gone.

Hmm, missing pants...drinking.
Could there be a relationship?
Hmm, you didn't get laid in this process did you?

Fang, your pants were 'tabulated' by Microsoft and Unisys. They went to the same place where the data lost from JPEG compression goes. (I was trying to work in a Unisys/GIF data-loss compression joke, but, well, GIF isn't lossy.)

Pants update: I FOUND them!
They were simply misfiled, hanging out with the shirts.

What if you always go to the brick-and-mortar store so the guy will have to measure your inseam? What will you THEN in the world of e-commerce?

Why is there such an underlying pants theme on this board?

Girls don't do much of that inseam-measuring stuff. Maybe it has to do with not having a penis to hang down and mess up the fit. Or maybe I just have a penis fixation today.
