I LOVE this game. We've been death-matching in the office for a week, and it's hand-down better'n Quake or any other 3D first-person frag-fest.

AND track 1 of the CD is by Rob Zombie.

I hate it, but that's really only because I don't have quite enough hardware horsepower to get the same kinda smooth gameplay as I get outta the original Quake.

I haven't gotten very far in the single-player sequel yet, but so far it's been a letdown. These opponents are allegedly "smarter", but they're nowhere near as cool as the ogres, zombies, knights, scrags, and monkeyboys in the original.

Granted, I'm not very far along yet (cough), and my opinion is likely to change, but so far I give it two ambivalent thumbs askew.

I've been fragging all those nefarious monsters in Riven.

I heard deathmatch in Riven was kind of lame due to the 1-player limit. Is that true?

There's a secret AI deathmatch island. I don't want to spoil the fun, so I won't reveal the details of how to get to the 'Frag Age,' but it involves riding inside the whark's stomach. (Be sure and click *everywhere* once you're inside the whark. There are really important clues..)

Quake II music update:

True, track 1 is by Rob Zombie, and it rocks.

The rest of the disc sucks.

I've changed my mind again. Only parts of it suck. Some of it really rocks.

Maybe this should go in the "Links" thread, but I've recently re-discovered an old favorite site: The Quake Weenie Tactics Site.

It probably helps if you're *into* Quake, but even if you aren't (yet), this is quite possibly the funniest web site on the 'net.

Kev gave me one of the Kings Quest last year for Christmas..

He never loaded it.. So, feeling I could conqure any challenge I tried to load it myself.. I can happily say he was able to fix everything.

I still don't have it loaded though..

I think King's Quest is supposed to be a strategy game, right? Maybe the installation is, like, the first puzzle....

Fang is the fragmeister.

He beat me 52 to 44.

But I'll be back.

I found 'The Residents' Bad Day At The Midway' in the bargain bin at waldensoft. It is quite disturbing... Nice way to spend ten bucks, tho.

I think I'm in love with Lottie The Log Lady.

So, when are we gonna have a Nunz QuakeFest?

You know, get all the users from here that are interested to frag the hell outta one another.

It's a thought.

Damn. I'm leaving town in a few hours.

I learned one thing about Quake skins yesterday. Both the server and the client have to have them installed, or only the player sees the skin.

At least that's how it went at work yesterday.
