Time for everyone to 'fess up. When you were young, say, pre-adolescent, on whom did you have a completely impractical crush?
I liked Randolph Mantooth, aka Johnny Gage, on Emergency. I also had a high school boyfriend that was tall, thin, dark-haired and played the piano.
So I married a Mexican/Indian man that's tall and thin with dark hair and plays the piano, and I work in the medical field.
Irony's weird.

Cher.
I used *audiotape* the Sonny & Cher show so I could relive the excitement during the week.
Now that I'm in my thirties, I find it strangely unsettling to realize that if I had money and fame I'd probably stand a pretty good chance of *dating* her.

Jeeze, my stupid/self-destructive crush was for Squid. I feel vaguely uninteresting.

I had lots of impractical crushes.
Molly Ringwald
Kate Pierson
The redheaded chick in The Bangles
Lots more, too.
The -real- reason I was a sysop back then was because I could meet computer chixx. Yeah! Blind dates were so much fun!
Speaking of computer chixx I never dated, wouldn't it be nice if Anna Rex joined us? She was da bomb.

sadly... I do not recall any.... at least not of the famous person variety.... I had several on girls i knew in high school that would want to wash with lye if I were to actually touch them.. they were of the "upper class snob" crowd... to which i obviously did not belong.... obviously my sights were set a bit lower.....

Who is Anna Rex?
Squid is currently MIA. I asked Carl Guidarian (Who will be getting the number here, eventually...) and The Desert Fox from auld Rivendell days. Neither of them know. They do know the Steve Ryan is in borneo now, and married to someone who is _not_ squid's mom. He would probably have known.
