I think the new .ASP version of Nunz is great.
I love the way the login recognizes me via evil cookie technology.
But could ya make the "welcome back" screen show the WebNunz2000 login screen? That's always the highpoint of my day, seeing the "...in the old days..." rant. It doesn't feel like a real WebNuns session without it.
I don't wanna LOG IN, per se, since the cookie's already done that for me... I just wanna see it.

So what's the difference between 'use archived messages' and 'don't use archived messages?' I see the 'computer programmer gets wiggy' thread either way, but I seldom make it past the Suggestions message base.

Probably no difference when doing a ReadAll or ReadNew, if you were last here, oh, say, yesterday. But if you were last here, oh, say, in January, it might make a big difference.

Oh oh also, unlike the antiquated Nunnery of a few days, now when you do a ReadAll you only explicitly "move to" groups where there has been new activity.
So you might see a new message or two in the first group, and then since groups 2 and 3 had no new activity you would see the "moving to" message for group #4 and then see the new stuff in there. If groups 5 thru infinity are also inactive, your "ReadAll AllDone" message leaves you looking at the group you were last in, i.e. #4.

My date-twiddler still doesn't work. I click and click, and nothing happens. I right click, and try to open in a new window. Nothing. I right click, and try to open in THIS window. Nothing. And now, the ding dang -5 won't do nuttin, either.

Sooz: try the date-twiddler again. I had a bit of Javascript in there yesterday which has now been removed. That's the only thing I can think of that mighta caused a problem.
As for the -5, hmm... I'll check my math.. since you posted reply #7 I'll assume you saw #6 as a new reply during your ReadAll... 6 minus 5 should work... but I'll doubleczech...

Ooo, -5 works. I'll bet I was trying it on a thread that didn't have enough messages yet. Duh-huh. I'll try the twiddler momentarily. I'm on a "read all new" roll.
