Well, I can honestly say I saw none of them films that won awards last night.
I do plan on seeing Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon though. Would rather see it on the big screen than when it comes out on video on my little TV.

There wasn't enough Steve Martin.
I've seen Gladiator. That was a pretty impressive spectacle, if you like gladiator movies.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Great
Gladitor: Really Good
Traffic: Ok, but was more impressed with Erin Brokovick than it.
Chocolat: Really Very Good. Great story.

Traffic: An astonishing achievement, a tour-de-force, a brilliant example of the filmmaker's craft, and worth seeing about a zillion times.

Steve Martin Rules! I had not laughed at my TV in weeks! Who ever the producer was was great as well. The shot of Russell Crowe after Steve's joke as his expense was priceless.

The same assholes who brought you Coyote Ugly are bringing you that movie about Pearl Harbor, set for release on Memorial Day. Someone drop a bomb on Jerry Bruckheimer.

Bruce Willis leads a ragtag bunch of doughboys (Ben Affleck, Cuba Gooding Jr, Steve Buscemi) on a suicide mission to intercept and deflect a Japanese bomber. Oh! Oh! In space! Oooh...

..and then Gozilla attacks!! Oh, wait. That's getting ahead of ourselves. That can't happen until AFTER we drop the atomic bombs.
