Ashley Judd is cute. Nothing else in this movie was a surprise.
But then, I wasn't in the mood for surprises. My friend Sharon and I had both had incredibly stressful days, and were kind of emotionally wound-up, so we chose the latest (10:35 p.m.) movie that we were sure our husbands would never want to see with us, and we hit pay dirt.
There's kissin', huggin', soul searchin', and possibly one tiny plot twist, but it didn't strain my brain any. We WANTED the happy ending. We wanted things to be beautiful and wonderful for the good guys, and for the bad guy to get what was comin' to him.
Go see this if you have no interest in stimulating your brain... or if you happen to be a big ol' Ashley Judd fan. Otherwise, don't let anyone drag you to it, no matter what.

Ashley Judd gets nekkid, but she's covered to the waist with a sheet, and a guy's cleverly-placed arm blocks out her nipple, so you just see the lovely curve of her breast.
At another point, she's wearing a short tee-shirt and string-type panties, but you see that in the ads anyway.
Which guy was Jackman -- the blonde or brunette?

He's the brunette. The one that lives with her or something.
According to IMDB, he played "Eddie".

In sooz's defense, I must say that Jackman does not look at all the same as the Wolverine character once he shaves...
I didn't realize he was who he was until I saw some blurb on t.v. about the movie.

Apparently, I'm not in the "in" crowd like Spas, 'cuz I have no idea what Wolverine he's talking about, either.
Maybe I'll start posting about the circles in which I hang out, and when Spas doesn't understand, I'll poke fun at him.
Damn, I'm bitchy today.
Love,
Susan

You have a teenage son and you don't know who the X-men are?
You just aren't paying attention.

My son's 14... a little old for the X-Men crowd. None of his friends are into that, either. They're busy worrying about which friend is bringing a kinfe, gun or bag o' drugs to school, and which girl is going to holler "sexual harassment" if they look at 'em wrong.
Of course, he's probably busy being up on a pedestal, because he hasn't had to eat Ramen noodles in a few years.
You should hate him for that.

Surely you're kidding.
If you think I'm wrong, or if you are that interested, research the demographics.

Nah,
He can't help it that his mother is an elitest snob.
There's still hope for him.
Don't get pissed! I'm just giving you shit! :)

Maybe there's some 14 year olds into the X-Men; my son's not, and I asked him - neither are his friends. They rolled their eyes when I asked.

My 38 year old is into the X-Men. I guess that's why it's uncool to the Clearasil Crowd.

Maybe I was wrong.
Maybe there IS no hope for him. :)
Was he ever a comic reader Sooz?
Wait, let me guess, he's not into Star Wars either?
Not QUITE as bad as Star Wars, but close.

I guess it just depends on the crowd you run with, and your level of geek factor. Almost everyone I know in the geek realm from 18 to 45 was all over that movie when it came out.

Nope, I've never seen Jimmy or his friends read comic books. Same with the 38 year old I'm married to, and his friends. (Shrug)
We're just different kinda geeks -- long haired musician geeks, mostly.
