And now, for a moment of shameless sort-of-self-promotion. Does it count as self-promo if it's not actually MY song, but rather Richie's song, and I'm just singing "ooooh" and "ahhhhh" and "nye nye nye" as a back-up chick?
ANYWAY... Richie did a song called "In The Sky" which, I think, is a very tastefully done, sensitive tribute to the 9/11/01 events. It's not his usual boom-boom dance beat... in fact, he even played GUITAR on one of the tracks. (GASP.) Bob, Witch Hazel and Gowan have heard it and seem to like it... it'd be dandy if anyone else that cares to would give it a listen.
It's at www.mp3.com/richiel and is called "In The Sky." I think it's the second song on the page. The one with the birdie by it. Pretty birdie. (This is FREE, of course. No one wants to make money off this tragedy. Well, I'm sure SOMEONE does, but not us.)
