TMBG - Long Tall Weekend

I know I'm not the only They Might Be Giants fan here, am I?

...I'll take the note of silence as a yes. And since I'm not the only fan, I'm sure someone out there might have taken the time to download at least a few track from their new MP3 only album, Long Tall Weekend... I must know, how does it stack up? Is it worth the time to download it and the extra cost for having to purchase each track individually (plus the extra time and cost if you want to burn it onto a CD for easy transport)...

Tell me, please!

In my opinion it's nuthin too special. I've never been a particularly huge fan, but I can usually count on liking a couple of tracks per album, sometimes even liking them a LOT.

So, I like a couple of tracks on this new one.

Incidentally, have you checked out my mp3 holding pen lately?

You sir, are my new hero! :)

And I'm so glad, too... this new 'album' isn't up to snuff in my opinion. (As opposed to me using someone else's opinion as I'm wont to do...)

I am a TMBG fan!

I haven't ventured into the world of MP3 yet, though. So I haven't heard their latest offering.

Okay, first you download WinAmp so you can play them, and then you browse through the mp3 holding pen.

Then you seriously consider registering WinAmp because it *is* the coolest piece of shareware ever developed.

::nods head in agreement::

...Ah, harken back to the days of AOL, when 'actions' were performed that way. I guess it beats Commodore Chat. But anything beats dialing in on a 300 baud acustic modem with a system that has no hard drive.

Erm. My point was that, yes, WinAmp is a mighty fine piece of software!

I like TextPad as well, but that's probably because I do a lot of web development. :)

Dag nabit, I seem to have missed the opportunity to download those LTW files from you. Could you put them back up? Please? That would put an end to the ongoing conflict in my head over whether or not I should download them from emusic or not.

On the topic of mp3 holding pen's, Panther Modern has one at ftp://stickitin.mikki.com login:mp3 pass:pmodern. Don't mention to him that I gave this out, but try to bring his cable modem bandwidth to a crawl!
