From: To: Subject: Cool site! Date: Saturday, September 02, 2000 3:21 AM Hello. BJ contacted me and pointed me toward your site. I must say that I was overwhelmed. That is what I call a proper burial. I must say that despite all of the emotional baggage that went along with it, that experience was one of the more interesting times of my life, so far. That was our version of "the edge, man." Luckily, my guitar playing has improved since then. You've heard from just about all who were really at the heart of the creative process, except for me and Scott. He's living in Houston, now, having just gotten his pilot's license. I don't believe that he is doing anything musical at this time. Give him time. He'll be back in the game. A musician never truly ceases to be, even shitty ones, and Scott Washburn was anything but a shitty musician. And when he does, I hope to be in the vicinity. As for me, I have gone back to school, working on a degree in history before moving on to International Relations. Maybe... My new music project, "Turn Around Norman," (guess the reference and get a signed photo of David Hasselhoff) will be unveiled in the fall. I don't know if San Francisco will be ready. We have been rehearsing for a year, now, experimenting, and mastering some of the most complex moves I've ever had the pleasure to coordinate. Somewhere between King Crimson, Mr. Bungle, Frank Zappa, Helmet, Karl Stockhaussen, Joni Mitchell, Secret Chiefs 3, Ween, Gustav Mahler, and Donnie and Marie Osmond is where my compositions seem to flow like fat through an artery. It wouldn't have been possible without the ZZP experience. Thank you for the site. I had no idea that someone other than my parents even remember. Again, I feel as if our grave has finally been given a headstone. Who knows, some day we may rise again. Brendan and I still write together, and hell, ZZP still has a backlog of music that most of the band doesn't even know about, and in my humble opinion, some of it is probably mine and BJ's best work to date. Some of it I may even just record in my home studio. Who knows? I have a question for you. How many people know about this site? Do you know if it is visited often? Just curious. Let me know if you have any questions, etc. for me. The only source materials I have that you probably don't is a video of our first show as a Quintet (Thanksgiving 1990), and our Reunion Show (December 1993)and a cassette of BJ and I as a "folk" duo in 1990 before the rest of the kids signed up. I can't believe it's been that long.... patrick white
